SCULTPURE AND CARVINGS MARCIN BOCZEK 'BESALEEL'

Born in 1976. Passion for creating started from carpentry. Sculpture, art furniture, reliefs, frames, coats of arms are Marcin's main work. He creates mainly in wood. Additionally he also creates in clay, paints in oil and pastels. He makes his own designs, works for individual orders, renovates old furniture and makes copies of antique furniture.

Marcin had individual and group exhibitions. His work now decorates rooms and halls filled with different period Dutch, French and Gdańsk art furniture. His furniture was created for individual orders coming from private customers as well as hotels in Poland and abroad.

"The LORD has gifted Bezalel, Oholiab, and the other skilled craftsmen with wisdom and ability to

perform any task involved in building the sanctuary. Let them construct and furnish the Tabernacle, just as the LORD has commanded." (Exodus 36:1)

Just as for hundreds of artists over centuries, a biblical verse has been an
inspiration for my attitude towards creating. Wisdom and skill, gift for
creating, perfection for performing. Everything is a gift. Submission to The
Most Perfect Source. Shocking beauty. Through what I do, I want to describe
reality as well as create it. My desire is to aim for excellence which would
overwhelm with beauty and joy of life. You will find here a lot of applied
art, but one which attempts to reach far beyond a need, to Beauty and
Excellence.
